Coloring in a Box!

I found this idea off pinterest and it worked pretty well.  You take a big box and just let your kiddo color in it.  It's suppose to just contain the coloring and occupy them for a bit.   Enjoy the photos.

Weekend Shenanigans

We went to see the musical in the park Friday night and the weather was gorgeous, but man was it crowded.
Max had fun running around, but could care less of what was going on with the musicals.
He loved when everyone was clapping and would join in, but I think he thought they were all clapping for him lol.
Here is a shot of all the people!  If we were closer to the stage, he might have enjoyed it, but it also took forever for the main muscial to start.  I am all for concerts having openers and such, but if it's family friendly then the main act should definitely start earlier than 8:45pm.  We left shortly after that because it was late and Max needed his bed. Learned my lesson. He was up from 2:30-5:30am on and off for some reason after that.
I got a chance to work on a custom embroidery order for a teacher bag this weekend. The final touches are going on it, so I'll show you soon. I am loving the maroon chevron fabric I used though.

Saturday afternoon we went to a fun BBQ at Carrie's new house.  We had fun letting the kids run around and play and catching up with everyone.

Max was showing off his cheese face so had to capture it.
Max was sitting with his daddy showing him how to use the watering attachment for the hose.
Max thought it was a nice day yesterday to wash his car.
Gigi took Max to walmart for grocery shopping and of course they came back with all sorts of fun toys.  Max picked up a new red ball to play with and he got a hydrant sprinkler.
I was washing my duvet cover and Max always runs in to our room and throws himself on the down comforter like it's a fluffy cloud.  I went to the laundry room to switch loads and came back to find him still snuggled in.

I took a shower and kept Max in the bathroom with me.  I brought his bucket of toys but he will find whatever he can to play with.  This is what he ended up with.  A stethoscope, a bracelet and a charger cord.  Future doctor? Let's go with that.

Five On Friday!

It's friday and time to link up with these lovely ladies.
{ONE} Tonight we are going to Broadway in the Park at our Suwanee Town Center to see Shrek the Musical.  They also have a scooby doo performance before.  I have no clue if Max will be interested since he will just want to run around, but he likes dancing and singing so we will see.  It will end up being past his bedtime so let's hope for the best!
{TWO} I saw Jen from Team Bowen post about these goat milk soaps and was very intrigued by the benefits of using them. I think I might have to give it a try! She says: Rather than water being the first ingredient in the soap (like all mainstream drug store soaps) Goat Milk  Stuff soap is made from raw unpasteurized goat milk, not water.  Goat milk soap contains: natural alpha hydroxy acids that help eliminate dead skin cells from your skin's surface, it is naturally high in vitamin A which has been shown to repair damaged tissue and maintain healthy skin, cream (duh, good for moisture), and many minerals including selenium which has been shown to play a role in preventing skin cancer.
{THREE} I received some new embroidery supplies this week.  Fun new fabrics and threads for the upcoming fall and Halloween season.

I am doing a custom order this weekend for a teacher bag that I am excited to see how it comes out.
{FOUR} I pinned this great idea from Pinterest that I thought I'd share.  I like the idea of gingerbread houses, just don't have the time and patience to get that all going.  While I getting the link for the pin on pinterest I went to the actual site (how many times do you just pin things and not even go to the site). Well, to my surprise she actually puts cookie dough IN the cones and BAKES them.  If that isn't enough, she then puts chocolate chips IN with the cooked dough. Then it's frosting and decorating time.  I am now even more PUMPED about this fun Christmas project.

{FIVE} Just look at this precious boy. Enough said.

It is almost football season and back to school time so it's time to get your kiddos some gear! We are hosting a giveaway on our embroidery facebook page. If you win, you get to choose 1 football/sports applique design (under school/team spirit applique designs album) and customize it with your favorite school colors. Your kiddos name will also go on the shirt.  This is a $20 value and free shipping!  All you have to do is like Double Trouble Embroidery and Gifts and comment with your favorite school and mascot.  If I was entering I would say Georgia Southern, Go Eagles!  The contest ends tonight at 11pm so hurry on over.  You can get an extra entry for sharing the post.  I can't wait to see what schools are representing! Make sure to go to the facebook page and not comment here (well you can comment here, but it won't count).

I also received some fun classic fabric yesterday in the mail.  It's so fun to see all the colors.  I am ready for team colors and some fall shirts.

Meow Meow: Max Attempts to Make Kitty Noises

My sister's cat is staying with us for few weeks as they are off visiting James' family.  I thought Bella would be afraid of Max, but she welcomes anyone as long as they aren't Molly.  Max has seen kitties at my brother's house before, but never took a big interest. He just called them dogs and moved on.  Well this time was different.  He got SUPER excited and would smile, cling to me and want me to show him the kitty.  I videoed it a few days ago. I am holding him and taking the video so it's a little out of focus sometimes.  It's a must see though. The sound you hear him making is his attempt at meow meow.

Weekend Recap

This weekend

Max got to mow the grass with his daddy.  He always stands at the front door/outside watching so David offered to take him in the new hiking backpack.
The side yard is a very steep hill, but Max enjoyed every minute.  What a good daddy he is!
We took the kiddos to the pool since we finally saw some sun.  There wasn't any kids in the baby pool so Max did much better without distractions and toys. He normally just dunks his toys and himself so it's a constant battle to keep up with him.
This time he wanted to go into the big pool and just swim with us.  He even let us put him in a raft (he's getting in in the picture). I think it was because Hadley was LOVING it so he wanted to try. Hadley is a little water baby. Never made a peep just loved hanging.

Hanging with Gigi on her towel (for like 2 seconds), but it was still nice to sit for a few minutes to have a snack.
James and Michelle are heading to visit his family in SC soon and then will be going to Charleston, SC for a few days to the beach.  They purchased this awesome beach tent for shade and to keep some sand out while they are there.  They set it up yesterday to give it a try.  To say all the kids/animals loved it was an understatement.

They had a blast!
Me and my babies!  James brought their cat, Bella with him this time since they are leaving for an extended period.  Max is now OBSESSED with cats.  He wants to go visit her in Gigi's room every few minutes.  He makes the most adorable meow meow sound when we ask what sound a kitty cat makes.  He gets so genuinely excited when he sees her.  I took video yesterday, I'll post sometime this week.  Back to the grind this week. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Five on Friday!

It's Friday and today I am linking up for 5 on Friday! You just post 5 things you love or things on your mind and link on up.

{one} Max loves helping his daddy study.  He is obsessed with cords and also ear buds. He knows exactly where they go and wants to listen to whatever you are.

{two} We are finally exploring fence options for the backyard.  There isn't a lot to fence in, but it's necessary for the kids and the dog.

{three} So thankful for all our customers who ordered these fun Christmas PJ's. I am getting anxious to get them in already (even though they aren't coming for a few months lol). Giveaway coming soon at our page!
30!
{four} The Big 3-0 birthday is in less than 3 weeks! Not sure if I want to do anything special for it.

{five} I have loved having Hadley here (and my sister) and we have one more full weekend with them. Going to squeeze her and love her lots!

This weekend we...

This weekend we...
Had more rain.

Went to Chickfila for free food.  Here is our adorable little cow this year.
Went to IKEA.  Michelle purchased these bookshelves in the greige color.  I can't wait to see them in her office. I thought Max would nap in the car on the way down there, but turns out he didn't so he threw numerous tantrums at IKEA.  When we left we didn't even get out of the parking lot before he fell asleep with crackers in his hands and drooping out his mouth.
Got Max's 2nd haircut (it was still wet here).  He cried when he got in the chair alone so I had to sit down and have him on my lap (I loved it). We also did a little embroidery and played with baby Hadley all weekend. I just love having her here (and my sister of course).

This Last Week in iPhone Pics

Max is so obsessed with balls and when the kids go up to play basketball at a neighbors house he just has to go.  This past week they were on vacation and it just seemed to be the gathering spot for all the kids.  Max loved going to play (in between the rain) and Uncle Chris helped him make baskets.

We finally made it to the lake for dinner one night.  It didn't rain while we were there, but 30 mins after we got home it sure did.

Nakey boy and his Auntie Michelle.

Hadley stares at David (probably because he's so loud) and David was holding her while we ate one day.  Silly David.

We went to Ippolitos for yummy dinner one night while everyone was in town and Max loved dipping his bread in the sauce.  He then proceeded to pick up the empty sauce bowl to drink it! Guess he is my little Italian boy.

Hadley loves to be outside as much as Max so she wanted a turn riding in his car.
She has really got her princess wave going. She's so cute.

I embroidered this chevron vinyl bib for Hadley the other day.  It took a good 30 minutes to stitch out (I made the monogram super big), but it is adorable! I love the hot pink pop of color.

Buddy and Auntie before the mall.  He appears to have a mouth full.

Auntie Marla picked out these adorable clothes for the kids and this shirt with Monsters University characters on it fits him perfect.  It's one of my favs.

Yesterday Max, Mom, Shell and Hadley went outside to play.  It was quite hot so Michelle dipped Hadley in the water table since it's hard for her to play in.  Max decided he wanted in.

And IN he went!
Last night Max must have heard that Big Brother was on because he did not want to go to bed last night.  He screamed and screamed so we brought him down to hang with us.  He ate lots of pretzels, gave lots of kisses to Gigi and watched big brother like a true fan.  After it was over he willingly went to bed like a good boy.  Iphone pics aren't the best quality, but they are there in a quick instant to capture great pics.
