Visit with Friends!

A few weeks ago (maybe 3) Leah came to town with Kyle while he had to work in Atlanta. We love when she tags along because we get to have dinner and hangout together.  David had a big work dinner so he wasn't able to join us. We went to Mexican, a fav of all of ours.
Lacey got to meet up with us also. It was so great catching up!
Not sure if ya'll know that Leah is pregnant with her 2nd baby... a BOY! She is due about 5 weeks before me. Max was clingy and wanted to photobomb this photo.
 Group shot!
We asked Max if he wanted to take a picture with Emery and he said yes. He is normally really shy, but he really liked it. He kept talking about her on the way home. Now on instagram whenever we see a picture of her, he shouts EMERY! It's adorable! Pin It

My Opinion of Stitch Fix

Have you guys heard of Stitch Fix yet? If you're around the online blog world I am sure you have. If not, let me explain. This site let's you fill out a preference survey on your style (which is super fun and free to fill out) and they will have a stylist pick out 5 items to send to you. I am not the best shopper as I don't have much time and I never know what goes together. I also hate spending a ton of money because I can think of other things I'd rather buy. For Christmas this year David decided to get me this as a gift. The only upfront cost is $20 for them to pick out your fix. If you decide to buy something then that $20 goes towards your purchase. There is no shipping cost and they send you a bag/label to send what you don't like back. If you decide to purchase all of it then you get a 25% discount. You can specify a price range you are looking for, but know that these are very high quality items so the average price (even for me who picked the lowest range possible) was around $50-60 per item.  So I asked for mostly shirts/blouses/layering items as I am pregnant and wasn't sure I wanted other things that I wouldn't fit in soon. Let's see what my stylist picked out. Let me just say that I was VERY surprised that I loved everything.
First up is this adorable navy striped tank top that has wide straps (hello no bra straps showing) and the cutest little pocket.
It has a little spandex in the material so it's super soft.  The sides also come up to add a little bit. This was on the no makeup day so just imagine me all done up. Am I keeping it... YES!
2nd up was this gray cardigan/coverup. The material is just so wonderful on this as well. It feels so soft, so warm and I know it can go with anything. I am always looking for a good coverup. Am I keeping it... YES!
3rd up with this cobalt blue blouse top. At first I thought it looked a little boxy.
But after walking in it and looking at this photo I knew I had to have it! I like the neckline and the shoulder/arm sleeve details. Am I keeping it.... YES!
4th up was this black blouse shirt that was 3 quarter length and the same type of material as the blue one above. It was a little longer (which I liked) than the blue one and I know it could go with a lot of outfits. Am I keeping it... no! I wish I could have. I just didn't want to add another $50 to my purchase this time so I had to eliminate it.
Ok don't laugh at me on this one. Last up were these deep red pants! I really did like them in the box. They were very thick and durable. They were the smallest size you could get, but as you can see they still didn't fit me, pregnant and all. I was a little bummed because I might have purchased them all for that 25% discount, but there was no way now.
Backside view... baggy central. But they are really cute pants. Am I keeping... no! I really had the best time with this. You get to do a post-survey based on what your stylist sent. You can say what you didn't like and why and request other things for your next fix. They also send you a style sheet with ideas on how to wear the pieces with things you already have. Well, I didn't have nearly anything they suggested, but I like them on their own with a little jewelery and viola! I would definitely do it again. Pregnancy #2 Survey- 20 Weeks!

How Far Along: 20 weeks! Half way. That is crazy! The beginning was def. rough, but it's going by so fast now. Considering my week changes over on Tuesdays so I'm already halfway into week 20!

Size of baby: Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. She's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana.

Gender: Baby Girl! We haven't really thought about names yet. I'm sure it will be just as difficult as Max's was. We aren't those people who have had a name picked out for years.

Total Weight Gain: 7 lbs ish so far.

What I miss: A good deli meat sandwich from which which.

Sleep: Pretty good except for a stuffy nosed little boy who can't sleep at night this week. Hope his sickness goes away soon and we don't get it.

Symptoms: A little bit of heart burn or I think thats what it is. It starts in my stomach region in between my stomach and ribs. Then I get front and back rib pain. Sprite helps but of course I couldn't find any last night.

Cravings: Just hungry allll the time.

Movement: I am confirming movement after feeling these constant flicks/popcorn. This was about the same time as last pregnancy too. I feel her most when I stop moving so when I sit down at work or at night before bed. She's pretty active in there for sure.

Maternity Clothes: I wear the jeans on weekends still and just the bellaband with my regular pants. I'm sure I'm stretching everything out, but what can ya do.

Best Moments this week: Snow day hanging with my buddy. We're getting ready for his 2nd birthday party soon!

What I'm looking forward to: Hmm let's see: Eating yummy pizza and wings at our neighbors superbowl party, I'm starting to think about Max's big boy room because we want to use the furniture he has now for baby girl's nursery, Sister and some family coming into town for Max's party, and Max's party. He's such a big boy. So many things to get done.
20 week belly shot. Sorry no makeup, took this on snow day with my new tank top. More on that later.
Belly growing!

Snow Days 2014!

Sorry for the MIA status again. I was busy the beginning of the week and then Snowmaggeden 2014 happened in Atlanta. I'm sure you heard about it on the news. Mass chaos of people trying to leave  early to get their kids/get home on Tuesday afternoon. David and I were lucky and only took 2-3 hours to get home.
When we got home we waited for Max to get up from his nap to play in the snow. Well, he woke up extremely grumpy and wanted nothing to do with outside at first.
Pretty snow on the back deck.
It was such a pretty scenery. We had a snow day from work on Wednesday. David worked more than I did so I got to hang with my buddy and play.
Winter wonderland.
I'd say we got 2 inches at most. I was excited for anything. They were definitely only predicting a dusting so that was another issue.
Max spent most the time watching from inside while Daddy threw snowballs at them.
Molly wasn't afraid!
He finally warmed up to the idea of going out if Daddy would hold him. He thought it was funny when the snow started to cover our hair.
Family snow selfies!
He finally wanted to get down and thought the snow was pretty cool.
He's watching it fall.
Just wanted to show ya our cool snow gear lol. FYI- Rain boots DO NOT make good snow boots. My feet were frozen/numb after being out for 20 mins.
David rigged up a diaper box and put a plastic bag over it for water proofing/better sliding.
We just went down a small hill at the neighbors house. We have a massive hill on our side yard, but it's very dangerous. I'm sure Max will test that out in the later years.
He had a blast playing.
A little cold and blurry. We finally ventured out today (Thursday) and are at work and roads are completely fine even though school's out again. Max didn't get to go, but he was up most the night with a very stuffy nose/coughing so hopefully it will be short lived. Pin It

Gender Reveal Baby #2 Party

I kept the gathering simple because I just didn't have enough time this go around. Max is ready to go!

We had to have a name suggestion bowl! The most popular name suggested was Maci. It was suggested 2 or 3 times or close variations.
We had to get the official tally of all the votes.
Here is mom looking so confident in her boy/blue attire.
We kept the party simple with my homemade chili, chips/salsa,  salad and desserts (from Sams).
I wanted to do a different reveal this year. I love how the guests can have a fun time with it. With the cupcakes, they all got to see what was in their cupcakes. With the silly string, they got to all spray us with silly string so I love the participation since we already knew. You really didn't have to cover the silly string, as it's neutral on the bottle, but the label that said silly string had pink in the background. All the colors of silly string had it, but I didn't want people to think girl automatically so we covered it in craft paper. I had plans on using ribbon on all of it, but that didn't happen. Dollar store has great silly string for $1 just an FYI.
Here is everyone I think watching the tv/google chat.
David is getting the tally from our online viewers. We had my dad/gma, cousin Karen, Bill & Christie, and my sister wanted to see all the reactions.
So it looks like an overwhelming amount of people were going for girl from the get-go! On the blog poll, girl pulled ahead right at the end! You guys are so smart!
Passing out the silly string. The kids were great at listening to directions and not spraying early, I was very nervous about that.
Darrin got it on video for us so that's fun to watch.
Here we go! My poor buddy got some in his mouth and got pretty confused. Pink EVERYWHERE!!
The aftermath!
So excited to be having a baby girl! Just a tip. Do it outside, on a tarp, on tile, etc. Had to steam clean my carpets (we have a big vacuum style cleaner) for about 2 hours the day after. I did not expect the silly string to be wet. We tested it the day before and it was dry as can be. Now our carpets are really clean so that was worth it, I guess! So fun. Thanks to all our family and close friends that could come so last minute! Pin It

Pregnancy # 2- Weeks 18 & 19 Survey

How Far Along: 19 weeks although I'm doing a combo since I missed 18

Size of baby: Your baby's sensory development is exploding! Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.

Gender: If you missed the announcement. It's a GIRL!

Total Weight Gain: Still 5ish lbs so far I think.

What I miss: A nice cold cut sandwich with all the fixings.

Sleep: I am mastering the sleeping on my sides. Pillows are your friend.

Symptoms: Feeling pretty good all around.

Cravings: Can't really think of any

Aversions: Apparently I hated chicken this time last pregnancy. I still get weirded out by big chunks of chicken but nothing too crazy.

Movement: I feel little flickers at night while just laying down. David feels weird things, but I tell him it's my food digesting, but it could be baby.

Maternity Clothes: I wear maternity jeans on the weekend, but so far regular clothes with a bella band.

Best Moments this week: Announcing to our family and friends that we were having a girl. I will post more on the gender reveal party tomorrow. We were completely shocked when we went for our ultrasound at 18 weeks. I had been feeling the exact same way as when I was pregnant with Max so I was for sure that they were going to say boy. I really didn't care either way, but was definitely excited when she said it was a girl. David also swore he knew it was a boy, so he's in for a big surprise when little girl gets here. It's so fun though.

What I'm looking forward to: My sister is coming for an impromptu visit this weekend and we have to get planning Max's birthday party in a few weeks (like how I said we).

Taken right before gender reveal party.

Little bump sprouting.

So I always look back on baby # 1 surveys when I do them and I was wearing the same dress! So here is a comparison. Looks pretty similar to me, maybe a little more bulge this go around, but it is a diff. angle slightly.  I need new clothes I guess.
