Latest Happenings

I don't mean to ignore the blog as much as I have been, but I have been busy with pajamas. The Christmas colored kind! Every night after Max goes to bed I am consumed with embroidering pajamas. I thought I'd show you some of the ones I've done lately.
This is a train carrying a Christmas tree. This is one of my favorite applique designs I've done.
I love a good matching set and these gingerbread boy/girl do not disappoint!
I love the combo of colors and initials in this group.

The names are classic and also a favorite.
So cute. I feel like Christmas is right around the corner, but there is 2 + months to go!
This weekend I took Max with me grocery shopping and I promised him a car because last time they were all gone so we got there early.  He was very entertained the whole time!
Mom and I took Max to Taste of Suwanee on Saturday. We are riding on a bus here and I took a selfie with Max. He was pretty entertained although his face doesn't show it.
I knew I wanted to get a taco and I found a bbq pulled pork taco with coleslaw. They even had pink tortillas for breast cancer awareness month.
One of the other favorites was Ippolito's ziti and rolls. They had a ton of great food and dessert and very reasonable for the amount of money vs. tickets you receive. Definitely would go back.
They had a train ride for 6 tickets which seemed like a lot, but they let me ride with him for free and we had tickets left over so it worked out.
Sorry these next photos have terrible lighting so they didn't come out great on my phone. I got Max a potty since he's been so interested in bathroom activities. He actually went potty on it within a few minutes of sitting on it. Boy, were we surprised and in turn we got so excited and Max was elated that we were so excited for him.
While on Amazon I picked up a few more fun things for Max including these car/construction magnets that we use on the garage door since it's aluminum and our stainless steel fridge won't allow him to use magnets. He does a victory dance once he puts them up there.
He loves playing on Gigi's ipad and doing puzzles. He's getting so good at things like that. He picks out his favorite apps and goes to town. Such a smart boy. I will get a post ready with the fun toys he's been interested in the past 6 months or so. Pin It

Visiting baby Levi & Halloween Goodies

Saturday Max, Mom and I went over to visit my friend, Brooke and see her adorable new baby boy.  He was so alert and content. Madeline is such a good big sister and kept talking about Levi.

Of course Levi needed a few goodies just for entering the world.  I monogrammed a terry cloth bib.
I also thought he needed a shirt for fall/halloween so I embroidered a Frankenstein pumpkin for him.
Speaking of Halloween/Fall I made Max a trick or treat bag that he can use this Halloween!  Mom got the great idea of adding orange ricrac to the top so I'll show you once that is completed.

We are offering these bags for sale with any of the designs you see around the bag.  Just let me know by September 1st so I can put an order in for the bags.

Double Trouble Embroidery & Gifts

I am loving creating fun shirts for Hadley and Max and we've decided to open a facebook page to friends and family who might be interested in ordering something. We named the company Double Trouble Embroidery and Gifts after my twin sister and myself.  We love anything monogrammed/embroidered so we'd appreciate if you liked our page.  This is the easiest way for us to show you what we've created and for you to see fabric choices and designs.  We are going to be having a giveaway in July so be sure to like the page for upcoming details!  I have a few projects I am working on, but will be trying out towels and other items for the home and adults soon!  Here are a few of our latest embroidery projects.
Michelle had mentioned doing something for Father's day for James (he's an Airforce pilot) and I got to work finding an airplane.  I love how this shirt came out.

Isn't Hadley the most darling little thing you've ever seen wearing it?!
Next up was David's shirt for Mr. Max for Father's Day.
Poor little guy wasn't feeling well when I snapped this photo, but he was so cute I had to!
My friend Tatiana contacted me to make a shirt for her son to wear for her husband on Father's day.  He is a police officer so we came up with this idea for a sheriff badge.  It is adorable and came out fantastic!  I can't wait to see a photo of Eiden wearing it!

Memorial Day/ 4th of July Embroidered Shirts

I am really happy with how the shirts came out for Hadley and Max for memorial day/4th of July.  It was my first time appliqueing and of course I picked elaborate designs.  They were just too cute not to.  To give you an idea, each different color fabric has to be cut and you have to take your hoop out of the machine.  I really got the hang of it when I did Max's shirt. It still takes me a couple hours per shirt, but I am getting the hang of it now so I hope to speed that up.
I still need to work a little on placement, but it's pretty good considering I did almost everything myself (I broke a needle and David replaced it for me).
He looked so cute in the shirt at the pool. I took it off once it got really wet, because it wasn't a wet t-shirt contest.
Silly boy faces.
For Miss Hadley I made these chevron flag onesies with different fabric choices. It took a while to cut around all those zigzags, but it is adorable!  Michelle found the perfect matching accessories (skirt and bow) from The Childrens Place.
I mean, you can't get cuter than this.  I couldn't ask for a more precious model!
Such a sweet girl. Love her and her outfit.
I had to include an outtake. Poor gal isn't steady sitting on her own yet and she tumbled backwards a few times. Hadley was not hurt during the shoot, she was a little trooper!  Let me know if you'd like a shirt for the 4th of July. $18 per shirt, $21 shipped.

Nautical Themed Embroidery- Finished Product

One of my first projects with our new embroidery machine was for Jen's baby shower. I wanted to keep it simple and I know she has a nautical theme going for baby Michael so I took out to find a design I liked.  I went with an anchor. No gift is complete without a few things to go with it so we choose to do a onesie and 2 burp cloths. You might recognize the fabric, I got it on our trip to premier prints. Wait until you see some of the new patriotic shirts I am doing for the upcoming Memorial day, July 4th and Labor day holidays with appliques. So cute!

Here is the happy mom-to-be opening her gift.  We can't wait for baby Michael to arrive in a few short months!
