Pregnancy # 2 Survey: Weeks 34-37

How Far Along: 34-37 (yup, major slacker here) I think with the sickness and stomach bug there were a few weeks where I didn't even know how many weeks I was.

Size of baby: Your baby is now considered "full term," even though your due date is about three weeks away. Scheduled C-section is June 13th. I can try for a VBAC if I go into labor on my own. I'll be 39 weeks and 3 days so let's hope she's early like Max was! Time to start guessing weights and days, maybe I'll get a poll going.

Total Weight Gain: 23/24 lbs. I am the same weight as I have been the past few weeks, I think because I lost my appetite with the stomach bug/other sicknesses. I was up about 4-5 lbs this point with Max last time.

Sleep: Still up to pee a few times a night (sometimes its almost 5 times), but sleeping pretty good with my pillows and falling right back to sleep.

Symptoms: Feeling pretty good still. She's starting to press on some nerves in the lower bladder region. I sometimes get shooting pains up the back of my leg region. Mostly at night.

Cravings: I am loving desserts

Movement: I think she's still head down. I feel feet in my upper right side and a butt middle left. I go to the doctor tomorrow for my checkup so hopefully they will know. So different this time as with Max we were constantly checking his breech position. We haven't seen baby girl since her 20 week ultrasound! She's moving so much in there I don't worry about her.

**Update from 37 Week Doctor Appt**
I was only measuring 34ish weeks when they did the tape measuring so they fit me in for an ultrasound. We haven't had one since 20 weeks so I was excited (hated that David was going to miss it). She is measuring just fine (I had this issue with Max at almost the same time so I knew not to worry).  She is measuring 37 weeks and 1 day and I am 37 weeks and 3 days so nothing to worry about. She is indeed head down, but facing up. They aren't concerned with that because about 90% of babies turn themselves during delivery. She's measuring right at 7lbs (or so they estimate). It was hard to see her face too much as she is straight up and down in there. Plenty of fluids and everything else looks good. Getting so close now!

Maternity Clothes: Yep, all the time. Dresses are easiest.

Best Moments this week: Getting baby girl's room painted, added all the molding (chair rail, crown molding, frames), custom closet and setting up the furniture.

What I'm looking forward to: Time is running out and I am in crazy list making mode to finish things up.

Milestones: This isn't baby girl related, but Max is doing so well with potty training. I have a separate post almost ready on this so I won't go into detail. This is a major check off our before baby girl  to do list. He's such a big boy and we are so proud. He's also doing so well at his swim lessons now.

To Do List: Need to pack our hospital go bags this weekend, nurse goody bags, finish decorating baby girl room, get last minute items for baby girl (ring sling, pacci, nursing pillow, etc..), thank you notes, finalize newborn photoshoot scheduling,  a few monogramming projects for baby girl and Max, put together swing, pack and play (changing station), car seat install, order photos from maternity/Max photoshoot, finish Max baby book (I know), give the house a good deep clean.
This is 37 weeks. Sorry, I don't have a lot of stuff from in between weeks.
Silly boy still going for my belly button.
Kisses for baby sister.
I think I'm smaller than I was with Max at this point. Could be the positioning of them since he was breech. She is definitely much lower than he was so not as much on top.

Looking at this very very dark picture, I guess I look the same. My face isn't as fat this time so that's good news lol. Pin It

Pregnancy Survey #2- 31, 32 & 33 Weeks

How Far Along:  31,32 & 33 weeks (sorry I lost my camera memory card so I was behind)

Size of baby: This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds

Total Weight Gain: 19 ish lbs

Sleep: Still up to pee a few times a night, but sleeping pretty good with my pillows

Symptoms: Feeling pretty good. The summer heat is here and I am thankful only to be pregnant for 1 month of it!

Cravings: I am loving desserts after dinner these days. It's becoming a must, but who doesn't!

Gender- Baby Girl!

Movement: She moves around a lot. You can definitely see it if I wear tighter shirts from the outside.

Maternity Clothes: Yup, dresses are becoming way more comfortable than regular pants so I am loving those for work.

Best Moments this week: Well I am way behind in blogging and such so these past weeks it's been great having my sister here while mom is on vaca. She's been working so hard to take care of both our kids and she is just the best! It's fun to hang out with her after the kids go to bed and we can eat and watch shows or whatever.

What I'm looking forward to: My sister and mom are hosting a little sprinkle for baby girl with close friends/family saturday! It's going to be so fun to see everyone and see lots of pink!

Milestones: Well these aren't exactly all baby girl related, but I will share them anyway. The pacci is successfully taken away from Max. He can even be in the same room when Hadley has hers and if it falls out he nicely runs over and picks it up for her. Such a good boy. He is also successfully sleeping in his big boy twin bed... and not getting out. Although he has never tried getting out after we said goodnight (he will if we are getting ready for bed or playing upstairs, but he knows when we mean business).  He sometimes cries, but now its for a very limited time, so thankful. I also got baby girl's curtains. I had good taste on some other fabric for curtains I wanted, but at $50 per yard that was noooooot happening. I went with plan b and found the 2nd best thing off craigslist (I know you prob. think how cheap I am, but I am telling you- why buy full price when there are like new items out there). We have set to work on baby girl's room memorial weekend and really get that going. We might also potty train Max. He starts swim lessons the 19th. So lots going on still plus much more not noted.
33 Week belly shot. Definitely growing more and more each day.
Max still points to my belly button.
Sweet baby sister kisses!
Group photo, had to get Hadley in on the action!

Pregnancy # 2 Surveys: 29 & 30 Weeks

How Far Along: 29 & 30 weeks (I'm behind in posting so I'm actually just about 31 weeks now but for survey purposes we'll keep it accurate).

Size of baby: Your baby's almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). She's measuring right on track for the amount of weeks I am.

Total Weight Gain: 17 lbs

Sleep: I'm still up about 2-3 times a night for the bathroom, but if I don't go on my phone I can fall back asleep right away. I haven't afternoon napped on weekends in a long time so I guess that's a good thing.

Symptoms: Nothing too crazy going on, just normal stuff. I am noticing that my stomach is shaped more higher up than with Max.

Gender- Girl, not named yet but exploring a few options more seriously lol.

Movement: She is quite the mover, just like Max was. It's very similar to last pregnancy.  No idea if she's breech or turned or what. Doctors aren't concerned for at least 5-6 more weeks. We just knew early with Max because we had an extra ultrasound around this time because of not being able to see some parts in our anatomy scan.

Maternity Clothes: Finally got some maternity work pants thanks to my sister and her finding some out shopping. Thanks to my mom for taking them up, they were super long. I have been doing more comfortable dresses which I look forward to for the upcoming warmer months.

Best Moments this week: It would def. have to be David taking with test on Friday. I know it's not timing related with the weeks, but for sure the best moments. We have our David back with full attention to us!

What I'm looking forward to:  My sister and my mom are planning this ADORABLE sprinkle for baby girl and the invites are just too cute. I will have to get permission from them on showing you!

Milestones: Max has a big boy bed and furniture. Just need to decide if I'm painting the it... I keep going back and forth. It's navy blue and I wanted a chocolate brown, but that is a lot of work and it really doesn't look bad... We also had family maternity photos done/Max's 2 year pics this weekend. It was rocky at first as Max was shy and cried, but once he eased into it I think it went pretty well. I can't wait to see the pics!
I should have cropped these photos, but I didn't so what can ya do.
Me and my beach ball! These pics were taken at 30 weeks.

Pregnancy #2 - Weeks 27 & 28

How Far Along: 27 & 28 Weeks- We're in the 3rd trimester! That is crazy, where has the time went!

Size of baby: Your baby now weighs about 2 1/4 pounds (like an eggplant) and is almost 15 inches long from head to heel. Baby girl can blink her eyes (which have lashes).

Total Weight Gain: No idea prob. between 12-14lbs.

What I miss: Nothing really.

Sleep: Sleeping pretty good with the occasional bathroom breaks

Symptoms: I am feeling pretty good, no complaints here. Back is doing very well and no other issues.

Cravings: Going to need mexican/a burrito soon lol Someone mentioned it and now I can't get it out of my head.

Name: Name not chosen yet

Movement: I have started to feel her higher up. I am pretty sure she is transverse (sideways). I feel her sometimes up in my right rib area and have to sit up and stretch out to give her more room. She is a wiggly little thing (so was Max). She goes NUTS when I give her lemonade since that is really the only sugary beverage I drink.

Maternity Clothes: Still over stretching my pants with the bella band. I have had such a hard time finding pants at a reasonable price that fit. My sister picked some up at a store by her so I am anxious to get those. If the weather would stay warm I could just stick to some dresses/skirts I have.

Best Moments this week: Snuggling with my buddy. David was out of town last night and Max cried for his mommy at 4:30am. He rarely does this unless he is sick or something is wrong so I went to get him. He didn't really indicate what was wrong with him so I just brought him to my bed. He wanted TV and crackers, but I just said nope, we have to sleep if you come in here. He said ok and we just snuggled (he held my hand) and fell asleep. Sweet boy.

What I'm looking forward to: It's about to get SUPER busy around here mid April so just enjoying some free time on weekends and excited to go visit my sister next weekend for their air show.

Milestones: Well, I had my glucose test done about 11 days ago and never heard anything so I finally remembered to call today and everything was normal with my glucose levels and iron. I guess no news is good news, but still annoying they didn't call. We have family maternity pics/Max 2 year pics scheduled April 13. We also have lots of things on our to do list once David's test is over April 11th. We will be celebrating his birthday (April 4), getting started/finished on Max's big boy room and full on basement renovation plans.

28 Weeks
Max trying to grab my belly button. He still loves to talk to his baby sister and hug/kiss her.

Definitely a growing girl in there! Sometimes David and I forget that a baby is actually coming because he's been so focused on studying/work stuff and I haven't done a ton of things to get ready. Ready or not, in about 12 weeks she will be here!!

Pregnancy #2 Surveys: Week 25 & 26

How Far Along: 25-26 Weeks (actually 27 weeks just a little behind on the surveys)

Size of baby: The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. She's continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches

Total Weight Gain: 11-12lbs

What I miss: Nada, but maybe a glass of wine to be in Napa Valley with my sister who is on vaca to Cali!

Sleep: Sleeping pretty good with the occasional bathroom breaks

Symptoms: Feeling pretty good just get tired by 9pm every night unless I nap during the day (on weekends).

Cravings: I have this cereal obsession that I usually eat some before bed each night. It can't be healthy cereal it has to be captain crunch with berries, cinnamon toast crunch, lucky charms (now I am craving that after seeing all the St. Patrick's day treats) or something along those lines.

Gender- Sweet baby girl. No name yet.

Movement: She's a good little mover.

Maternity Clothes: Looked all over for consignment maternity pants and they don't have my size anywhere so I will be purchasing new pants for work here soon. My shirts/sweaters are all def. too snug, but just trying to wear what I have.

Best Moments this week: Finished taxes (yay basement savings!) & picking a paint color for Max's accent wall. Just doing little things since David's still busy studying for another month.

What I'm looking forward to: Enjoying nice weather with my buddy and working on some basement cost estimates.

Milestones: I had my glucose test last week (26 weeks). I haven't heard back yet so we'll see!
Don't mock my pants. I'm telling you, I need maternity pants that fit so I changed into my comfy pants after work and didn't want to change back.

I asked Max where his baby was and he lifts up his shirt of course! Silly boy.

Pregnancy # 2 Survey Weeks 23 & 24

How Far Along: 23 & 24 weeks

Size of baby: They say about 12 inches long and 1- 1 lb 4 oz in weight.

Weight: The scale only says around 8 lbs of growth, but my belly has definitely sprouted.

What I miss: Nada

Sleep: I'm getting good at getting up a few times for the bathroom and going right back to sleep.

Symptoms: Feeling good, just getting larger.

Cravings: Just always hungry as usual, craving nothing in particular. I could go for mexican as usual.

Aversions: Nothing.

Gender- A sweet girl! Nope, no names yet. Not even some choices.

Movement: She moves pretty good. I think they are just starting to be more noticeable from the outside. Max was so sweet this weekend, he was doing airplane on my legs and tries to jump around so I said you gotta be careful because of baby sister. He then lifts up my shirt (sticks his finger in my belly button) and then kisses and puts his head on my belly. So sweet. He wanted me to do it to him and I was telling David later that night and he thought David had a baby as well haha (he might, it's debatable).

Maternity Clothes: Last time around I wrote that I was wearing a few maternity jeans and same shirts, but I am busting out of my pants (I'm sure I've stretched them out forever) wearing them with my bella band. My shirts are also tight and I am much more comfortable in maternity stuff, just need to get more.

Best Moments this week: Enjoying the nice weather we've had on the weekends.

What I'm looking forward to: Picking out Max's big boy furniture and room planning.

Milestones: We might have found some furniture for Max's room. Waiting to see how it pans out, but I'll share a few design elements maybe this week on the blog. His room is first, then probably basement stuff, then little miss's room.  I did schedule maternity/Max's 2 year old pictures to be done April 13th so that's a good thing. Max also has his first dentist appointment this Friday.
23 Weeks.
Self timer work at it's best. Lighting is bad and Max stole his pacci's from his crib.
Max being his crazy climbing Monkey self in the background.
24 Weeks, not looking so great here, but it was the end of a long day.
I'll be 25 weeks tomorrow (I mean woah, only 15 more weeks left??) and my belly is definitely more round now.

Pregnancy #2 Survey- Week 21 & 22

How Far Along: 21 & 22 weeks. There really isn't a ton new so I'm probably going to start combining some of these. I'm actually 23 weeks today, so this is just flying by!

Size of baby: At the last doctor appointment baby girl was 1 lb 3 oz!

Total Weight Gain: 7 ish lbs so far, this is definitely going to start picking up but I'm not worried about it.

What I miss: The weather is getting warmer and I've been craving a lot of mexican. And you know what goes great with mexican food... Margaritas!! I'm so glad that I will be having this baby in the beginning of summer!

Sleep: I'm getting good at getting up a few times for the bathroom and going right back to sleep.

Symptoms: Feeling good this week, I've had a few times where I feel heartburn but it really just feels like my ribs are swollen in front and back. I can't even lay down because the pressure on it. The doctor said it was my ribs expanding, but I don't think that's it. It's definitely food/heartburn related.

Cravings: Mexican. Have you guys been to the new Tin Lizzies at the MOG? I LOVE it there. They have the best specialty tacos and the guacamole is awesome. We went there for Valentines dinner.

Aversions: Nothing.

Gender- Baby Girl! Any name suggestions? I am so indecisive on these kinds of things. Just taking all the names I see around in and sorting through. Nothing is standing out at this point so nothing to report.

Movement: She is starting to get really lively in the belly. She moves a lot in the car when I drive and at night before bed. She is active all day really, but I just notice her more when I am sitting still I guess.

Maternity Clothes: Need to buy some work pants. I can barely pull my regular pants up around my bottom. Just holding them up with the bellaband, fully unbuttoned/zipped.

Best Moments this week: Starting to brainstorm nursery ideas and basement remodeling ideas!

What I'm looking forward to: I need to start tackling this to-do list of Max's baby books, pregnancy books and move forward to planning out Max's big boy room. Anyone have a good suggestion on reasonably priced big boy furniture? Going to go with the woodsy, where the wild things are room for him so going to do a darker wood twin bed. Beds/furniture are EXPENSIVE though, but I guess it will last a while.

Milestones: Have I mentioned that I have the best and sweetest neighbors ever?! Well, it's true. We are so lucky. Not only does my neighbor, Meredith give me clothes her little boy has outgrown for Max, she also gave me the prettiest nursery set (sheets, bumper, crib skirt, lamp shade and more) for baby girl that she has kept and most of it is unopened from pottery barn kids. I really haven't even thought about baby girl's nursery so this is perfect! I'll do a separate brainstorming and sharing post soon.
Here are some fun pics from the past few weeks. 21 weeks.
22 weeks!
Not sure where Max was to photobomb my photos, but I'm sure he'll make a return in the next photos.

Pregnancy #2 Survey- 20 Weeks!

How Far Along: 20 weeks! Half way. That is crazy! The beginning was def. rough, but it's going by so fast now. Considering my week changes over on Tuesdays so I'm already halfway into week 20!

Size of baby: Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. She's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana.

Gender: Baby Girl! We haven't really thought about names yet. I'm sure it will be just as difficult as Max's was. We aren't those people who have had a name picked out for years.

Total Weight Gain: 7 lbs ish so far.

What I miss: A good deli meat sandwich from which which.

Sleep: Pretty good except for a stuffy nosed little boy who can't sleep at night this week. Hope his sickness goes away soon and we don't get it.

Symptoms: A little bit of heart burn or I think thats what it is. It starts in my stomach region in between my stomach and ribs. Then I get front and back rib pain. Sprite helps but of course I couldn't find any last night.

Cravings: Just hungry allll the time.

Movement: I am confirming movement after feeling these constant flicks/popcorn. This was about the same time as last pregnancy too. I feel her most when I stop moving so when I sit down at work or at night before bed. She's pretty active in there for sure.

Maternity Clothes: I wear the jeans on weekends still and just the bellaband with my regular pants. I'm sure I'm stretching everything out, but what can ya do.

Best Moments this week: Snow day hanging with my buddy. We're getting ready for his 2nd birthday party soon!

What I'm looking forward to: Hmm let's see: Eating yummy pizza and wings at our neighbors superbowl party, I'm starting to think about Max's big boy room because we want to use the furniture he has now for baby girl's nursery, Sister and some family coming into town for Max's party, and Max's party. He's such a big boy. So many things to get done.
20 week belly shot. Sorry no makeup, took this on snow day with my new tank top. More on that later.
Belly growing!

Pregnancy # 2- Weeks 18 & 19 Survey

How Far Along: 19 weeks although I'm doing a combo since I missed 18

Size of baby: Your baby's sensory development is exploding! Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.

Gender: If you missed the announcement. It's a GIRL!

Total Weight Gain: Still 5ish lbs so far I think.

What I miss: A nice cold cut sandwich with all the fixings.

Sleep: I am mastering the sleeping on my sides. Pillows are your friend.

Symptoms: Feeling pretty good all around.

Cravings: Can't really think of any

Aversions: Apparently I hated chicken this time last pregnancy. I still get weirded out by big chunks of chicken but nothing too crazy.

Movement: I feel little flickers at night while just laying down. David feels weird things, but I tell him it's my food digesting, but it could be baby.

Maternity Clothes: I wear maternity jeans on the weekend, but so far regular clothes with a bella band.

Best Moments this week: Announcing to our family and friends that we were having a girl. I will post more on the gender reveal party tomorrow. We were completely shocked when we went for our ultrasound at 18 weeks. I had been feeling the exact same way as when I was pregnant with Max so I was for sure that they were going to say boy. I really didn't care either way, but was definitely excited when she said it was a girl. David also swore he knew it was a boy, so he's in for a big surprise when little girl gets here. It's so fun though.

What I'm looking forward to: My sister is coming for an impromptu visit this weekend and we have to get planning Max's birthday party in a few weeks (like how I said we).

Taken right before gender reveal party.

Little bump sprouting.

So I always look back on baby # 1 surveys when I do them and I was wearing the same dress! So here is a comparison. Looks pretty similar to me, maybe a little more bulge this go around, but it is a diff. angle slightly.  I need new clothes I guess.
