Colette is 18 Months Old

Hello there!! I know it's been a while! I have A LOT of catching up to do. First I will start with our baby girl who turned 18 months in December. She deserves her own update as she is growing WAY TOO FAST.
Stats-
Of course I had to empty out my phone pics so I don't have this right now. She was around 25% for weight and 40% height I think.
Can you believe how big she is and her hair is so long!
New Developments- She is quite the talker. She started talking words I want to say just before 18 months. There really is no words she can't say if she wants something. She communicates so well and fully understands everything you say. I wrote down her words she can say back when she was a little over 18 months. In no particular order: socks, Molly, Max (she says it so cute- sounds like Mass), Hadley, Gigi, Nana (banana), bug, draw, apple, paper, more, bye, no, pull, hat, fish, boot, baby, nose, eyes, mouth, play, hair, pacci.
She loves playing with her cousin and Max. She has a bit of a sharing issue though. And man is she a tantrum thrower if she doesn't get her way. We have to fully utilize the time outs as she understands them and needs them.
One of her favorite activities is to draw. Mostly with things she shouldn't have like highlighters, pens and markers. She has always favored her left hand and it hasn't changed. She is definitely our little lefty. Cousin Karen is very pleased.
Eating- She is definitely a snacker. She would eat crackers all day if we let her. Her favorite foods are cheerios/cereal, fruit (bananas, apples, berries), noodles, cheese and pizza. She is not a huge meat eater which is not good because she really doesn't eat a whole lot of good things for her. She will eat green beans and peas for veggies easily.
Sleeping- She has finally went to 1 nap a day. She was teetering between 1 and 2 for a while. Some days she just needed 2 and then she started only morning nap and wouldn't nap in the afternoon so we had to push the nap time later and later each day. Problem is when she goes with Gigi to pick Max up from school at 1:20pm. She usually falls asleep in the driveway on the way to get him lol. So she goes in as soon as they get home for her afternoon nap. She will usually sleep 2 hours. She goes to bed at night around 8pm. She is still LOVING her sleep sack. I can't believe I didn't take a pic with her in it as she is always carrying it around.
Since I'm not on time with the update this will span into the 19 month. Between a little before christmas and the whole month of January I think we were at the doctors probably 1-3 times a week. Rotating with children of course. I swear, having kids is not for the weak. Monday, January 4th Coco woke up with a little fever. Nothing crazy maybe 100-101. I gave her tylenol and went to work. Around lunch time or after nap I can't remember mom said she tried to give more medicine but she wouldn't take much. Around 3:30pm she was up from nap and hanging with Gigi when she started to have a febrile seizure. I rushed home (so thankful to be working 5 mins from the house-more on that later). I called 911 who didn't answer... seriously. I called Michelle who was on her way over and she kept calling for me. When I got home the seizure was over and she was laying on my mom not really responsive. She was very limp and pale in color. When I held her she just cried and whined for mommy and daddy even though I was right there. It was very pitiful.
I just wanted the paramedic crew to check her out to make sure it was ok for us to transport her down to CHOA. We sped down there during rush hour traffic and got her checked out. They basically confirmed the febrile seizure. They said it happened because of a sudden spike in temperature. Basically nothing you can do to prevent it and some children get it. Even if you had been consistent on giving the fever reducing meds something triggers in your body/brain that the fever had a sudden rapid rise in temperature and her body can't handle it so it starts to seize. I also had one around the same exact age so my mom knew exactly what it was. I'm glad it was her not me to experience it! Colette's only lasted 3-4 mins where mine lasted in the 15-20 min range. The doctor did say if someone in family had had one before that they are more likely to have one. It was scary and she was fine by the time we got there. No more fever and it never came back! Not that night, not the day after, nothing. She wasn't even sick! Except for the fever.

Personality- She is quite the little diva. Very independent and very sassy. She can also be sweet as can be. Her hugs and kisses go on for days!
She loves to have her picture taken and says Cheeeeeeesee all the time.
She can't get enough of baby dolls thanks to cousin Hadley.
Since she turned 18 months right before Christmas this is our official it was hot in GA that day Christmas pic.
Pretty dress and cousin time.
Auntie got her rubber bands and put cute multi pig tails in since her hair is growing from the top, bottom and sides all over!
She loves reading and playing in brother's room. Has to read the books herself, I mean how dare you want to read her a book.
She is wearing size 24 month clothes and growing like a weed!

Haha. Going to end on this photo... Pink eye... Told you it was a month of sickness. Max had it a few weeks before she did. During this time we also had the cough/runny nose starting before Christmas and coming off and on. Also, during a healthy Coco week Max came down with the stomach throwing up bug so COME ON SPRING! Here's to a healthy February and more blog updates soon.

Colette is 15 Months Old!

This precious girl is 15 months old! Sorry about the blogging hiatus I have some posts I need to catch up on from the summer so let's get started!
Weight- 21.25lbs (23%)
Height- 30.5 (51%)
HC- 17.5 (13%)
New Developments- She is a busy little girl! She is walking, running, climbing on everything. She says hi, bye bye (waves), ba(for ball or balloon), Mama, Dada, and Gigi.
She can point to her body parts if you ask her to and she understands anything you ask her. She is a smart little cookie. She loves baby dolls-feeding them, holding them, putting them in their carriers. Hadley has taught her well.
Sleeping- It's hard keeping up with your brother's preschool schedule when you just need a little nap. She is still napping twice a day. Once at 10am and the afternoon at 3pm. This is working right now because they can car pool drop off then come back to nap and when Max gets home from school they can both nap in the afternoon. She can make it without a morning one, but will end up like the above photo at some point. She loves to sleep and can nap for about 1.5 hours on average each nap.
Over the summer Colette started having a snack and reading books with Max at bedtime. She started out the summer going to bed at 7:30pm and has inched her way up to about 8:30pm. It's awesome having them both in the same place instead of tag teaming it.
Eating- As you can see she is my child. She loves olives. She has become picky already. If she doesn't like something she will just throw it off her tray or at a restaurant. I was reminded recently why we don't frequent those establishments. Her favorite foods are fruit, crackers, cereal with milk, eggs, cheese, peas, noodles, pizza and smoothies.
Personality- She is a little firecracker. She let's you know if your not paying attention to her. Her laugh is contagious and she gives the best kisses. Her favorite thing to do and I was reading back at Max's and it's the same. SHOES! She always goes to the shoe closet to pick out shoes so she can go bye bye. Loves anyone's shoes and tries to wear them around.
She has 8 teeth now (right around 15 months she still had 7, but the 8th has made an appearance). She is wearing 18 month clothes and size 3 diapers still. Max and Colette have a great time playing together. Hadley and Colette are going to be best friends also. I love watching her grow, but will miss her being so little!

Colette is 12 Months Old & Professional Pics

Our sweet girl is a 1 year old! I was waiting for the professional pics to come back and man were they worth the wait.
She's not quite sitting like a lady, but she is just the cutest little nugget!
Stats-
 Weight- 19 lbs, 15 oz- 28%
Height- 29 1/2" 60%
Head Circ.- 18" 67%
Personality- she is such a happy, happy girl! 95% of the time she is "talking", laughing, dancing or exploring. Right after her 12 month checkup she got a fever (they say not related to shots) and a virus and she was not a happy camper for a week or so. We were all afraid it was the new normal, but thankfully she snapped out of it!
New Developments- She is so good at signing more and all done. She is now a walking machine. She prefers to take your hand and go for walks. She is very clear on the rules though. Only 1 hand needs to be held. She will shake off your other and make loud noises to let you know she only wants 1 hand. Since I am writing this and she is 13 months, she does walk about 80% of the time now by herself in the house and not crawling.
I mean... I can't even describe how cute this photo is. You better believe I ordered some prints for the house. I may not have a well decorated house yet, but I will have the cutest kids on the walls (well and in the house).
Max is seriously the best big brother ever. He always wants to help and take care of her, he doesn't even get mad when she steals his toys. I could never have imagined him being so good with her. Another favorite which is getting enlarged!
Sleeping- She is a great sleeper now. She sleeps from about 8pm (usually later now that it's summer) until about 6:30/7am. I don't get her out until 7. She is usually just rolling around talking to herself. Such a different baby then Max was :) She naps twice a day around 10am and 2pm for about 1.5-2 hours each.
Eating- Our little one loves to eat. Pretty much anything right now. She eats everything we eat and gets very angry when you don't share something with her. She is also drinking like a champ from a straw. I really can't pin point any favorites as she doesn't turn anythign down. She loves fruit, smoothies, bread, waffles, etc...
She was so funny eating the cake. She just took her time and was like just come back later for me, I'm enjoying this cake.
Mmmm
She says Dat all the time. We think it's for that like when she points to something she always says it. She says DA for dog and the other day we heard her say NO very clearly. We were trying to give her something she didn't want and she was very angry and said NO and was so surprised when we reacted cheerfully like she had spoke a whole sentence lol.
Her hair is still straight for now. I am really not sure if it's going to curl up. Hadley's was straight at this point also. Her texture is definitely mine so we will see.
She hates diaper changes and will squirm, scream and wiggle her way out of them.
She is very independent and copies everything her brother does. She is a master of the shoot guns already.

She loves to open boxes and put things inside just to take them back out later. She is a pro at putting the nerf bullets into the correct spot. Very good coordination.
These are some every day action shots from about 11 months till now. She had a little incident where she fell down a step or two (supervision was right next to her) and she had a boo boo on her eye.
We went over to Hadley's room to check out her big bow collection.
She looks happier than she really was about the bows. I think it's because she is obsessed with sitting in chairs.
Hadley and me trying on more bows.
These two are so adorable in their helper stand. Such big helpers.
She does have 6 teeth still.
Loves to stand and play on chairs. She also is a huge fan of playing on the couch with the cushions. She gets this one from her big brother. Our poor couch is going to be worn out in a few years from all their playing, but I am glad we have it now for them.
More sibling playing fun.
And she found a cupboard with hardly anything in it. It's Molly's dog food stash.

Here is a video from her first official steps taken at 11.5 months old (just like big brother).

She's in size 3 Honest diapers, clothes is still some 12 month and moving onto the 18 month.
She still sleeps in her sleep sack every night. We originally got these for the transition after the swaddle. It was to help them with the startle reflex as the arms are inside this blanket contraption. Now she just loves it and since she can't have blankets yet we still use them (they make them in big sizes).
Colette also loves phones. She wants your iphone to press the circle button and talk to Siri. Siri never understands her, but Coco doesn't care.
Must call Auntie.
She got her big girl car seat right around her year birthday as well. Went with the Diono Rainier.
First official big girl clip in bow.
We met her baby cousin Owen and she realized she wasn't the baby any more! Sad day for Coco.
Like Father, Like son, Like daughter.
Look at her in her little flamingo dress from Karen! She looks so darling in it!
Auntie taught Coco the cheese face. There is also a cute video of her saying ChhhhhheeeEEEeeee.
Cousin time and couch fun.

She was very excited that day as she learned to stand up for a seated position. She kept doing it over and over.
This was from the week after her shots when she got the virus. She was down and out poor little gal. Fever was 102-103 at the doctor that morning.
Loves her blanket/sleep sack.

She is at such a fun age and we are loving every minute with our happy girl! Love you Coco bean.
