Biltmore Winery & Antler Village

The Antler village area is a short drive away from the Biltmore estate and has restaurants, barns, animals, farms and the winery.
They had an example of the wood working shop with pictures on the wall of the actual areas back then.
Of course I loved to see the vegetable gardens
This was the walking path from the farming area to the village area with the restaurants.
During the wine tour they showed us the clock that they used to synchronize everything from the Biltmore house to the dairy and farming areas. There was a ton of people on our actual wine tour so it was hard to get pictures of anything. It is very cool though, the area was originally the dairy barn, they sold the milk for a long time. They didn't open the winery until 1985.
This was the car that the Vanderbilts had. In relation to today's money they would have a car that's worth over $100,000.
After the wine tour and tasting I picked out a couple of bottles to bring home. A lovely champagne and a chardonnay.
For dinner we went to the Bistro which was conveniently located next to the exit of the winery. David had the duck.
I had the wood fire chicken. Everything was pretty good, nothing to write home about though.
On the reservation I put that it was our anniversary dinner and they gave us these cute chocolate cake balls, someone has some very nice handwriting.
After dinner we went out to the village area and listened to some live jazz music. You can see the Inn where you can stay in the background.
We had such a good time and would recommend this to everyone!
